Kids Without Borders – HumaniTour

hoa-phoung-orphanage1

These trips are especially designed for people who want to learn more about developing countries. Travel with a group of families, retiree’s, people who care and want their vacation to mean something.

Spend two unforgettable weeks in Vietnam traveling for a purpose.  Our trips are not just about traveling, but learning and giving back.

Your adventure starts before you leave the USA.  This is not required but it will make your trip more meaningful.  Tell your friends and family that you will be in Vietnam, visiting with disadvantaged children. Ask them to donate one of the needed items (i.e. toothbrush, hair accessories, soccer ball, new book or new clothing item) and then share with them on your return what their donation meant to the child you gave it to.

If you live in the Seattle area, meet ahead of time with other travelers to help pack an extra suitcase with donated items at Kids Without Borders storage unit in Sammamish, WA. All that is left to do is to show up at the airport at the appointed time.

While in Vietnam your trip will focus on the history, especially the relationship between the USA and Vietnam.  You will start out in Hanoi – the capital of Vietnam for a 2 day visit. From their we head to Hai Phong (my new home town) and Ha Long Bay for a day cruise, one of the wonders of the world.  From Hai Phong we will fly to Saigon – now called Ho Chi Minh City. Optional additions include Cambodia and/or Thailand.
